The SSMA Grant Award as established to generate money to support an annual Endowment grant, SSMA Connectons Grant, of $500.00 to an individual(s) in support of an exemplary teaching and learning project. The project should be school-based and the focus should be on connections between science and mathematics.
The Awards and Endowment Committee annually receives and reviews proposals for the grant. Up to $500 is available from the Fund each year. Additional support may be available from the SSMA to the awardee(s) for the purpose of travel to the annual convention to make a presentation related to the project.
