Monographs

School Science and Mathematics Association publishes monographs in one of two series, Classroom Activities and Topics for Teachers. Classroom Activities are targeted to the K-12 classroom teacher audience and provide activities science and mathematics. Topics for Teachers emphasize leadership issues and/or research and are mainly targeted to those that prepare teachers of science and/or mathematics and to those in leadership positions in school districts.

Classroom Activities Monograph Series

SSMILes (School Science and Mathematics Integrated Lessons). (1997).

These are integrated science and mathematics lessons from past issues of School Science and Mathematics. It also has an inclusion of thirty (30) lessons indexed by grade level ranges (preschool - 12). 191 pp. $18.00. It is available in either text format or CD-ROM format for the same price. For both, add $5.

Spreadsheets in Mathematics and Science Teaching. (1992).

These include spreadsheet usage and design, along with classroom strategies and approaches, and the introduction of templates for student usage. 118 pp. $15.00 Activities for Teaching K-6 Math/Science Concepts. (1989). These are classroom-tested activities in reproducible pages. 42 pp. $7.50.

Problem Solving with Number Patterns. (1987).

A unique activity book with activities in the first section and answers in the second. It is an integration of number problems and geometry and an excellent resource book for use in student discovery. It is more appropriate for elementary and secondary school. 158 pp. $9.50.
