About the Convention

The SSMA Annual Convention is an exceptional forum for mathematics and science education researchers and practitioners. Small session sizes with diverse topic offerings and multiple opportunities to interact with others in the mathematics and education community and leading thinkers in the field make this one of the best resources for those to share research and network with other leaders in the fields of mathematics, science, and STEM education.

Conference attendees choose from sessions that showcase new research and innovation, participate in interactive skill development workshops, discuss promising practices during dialogue and panel sessions, and engage with leading thinkers throughout the conference.

The SSMA convention is designed to:

  • Provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to share their research and innovations,
  • Connect mathematics and science education professionals with colleagues across the field, and
  • Lead and advocate for promising mathematics, science, and STEM education practices.

Educators and practitioners of all levels and institution types are encouraged to attend the SSMA Convention.
